I am getting in touch with you regarding a different kind of residencyprogram being run out of a large warehouse in Fitzroy, Melbourne,beginning at the start of 2007. If any COFA artists that are finsihing, andcould use a dose of creative stimulation and/or extended exposure inMelbourne, perhaps you could encourage them to apply or put the word outsomehow? Wardlow is a unique space for the full time development,creation, and exhibition of residential work. The residency includes abedroom, very large workshop space, and an exclusive gallery for the threeartists in residence. The residency is for a period of 6 months.Wardlow is a space for artists who whttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifant to be creating full time, in alive-in environment; working and living independently amongst theinspirations, influences and techniques of other artists. Wardlow isinterested in artists who can utilise the opportunity to create a body ofwork and progressive individual movement over the duration of theirresidency, and those with a sense of personal and societal narrative.Saturday's at Wardlow are able to be open-days/exhibitions with a bar andcoffee machine for lubricative means.
